Held over the Remembrance Weekend, the Race of Remembrance was established by Mission Motorsport alongside the wider racing community and the wounded servicemen and women who use the sport that we love as a crutch to aid in their recovery.
Beginning on the Saturday, the 12-hour endurance race runs into the night, pausing for a Remembrance Service on Sunday morning.
The contest is open to a wide range of racing machinery but all entries are limited to a maximum of 2-litre engines and the use of street-legal tyres.
West Suffolk College ME entered the Race of Remembrance for the first time in 2025. The #47 WSC BMW 330i driven by Andrew Payne, Haydn Payne, Ben Spencer and Brady Pollock encountered some mechanical challenges but the team brought the car home in 47th place overall and 13th in Class C.
WSC ME will returning to the Anglesey International GP circuit in 2026 so that our learners can gain more valuable real-world trackside experience in this demanding, and poignant, endurance race.
